Other paradigm and border thinking: towards a transmodern society in times of political singularityContenido principal del artículo
Digital coloniality and border thinking constitute key categories for unveiling global asymmetries in the production of knowledge and for projecting more plural and emancipatory transmodern societies. The objective of this study is to analyze these categories in order to understand such asymmetries and to envision transmodern societies in contexts of political singularity. Through a systematic review following the PRISMA protocol, databases such as Scopus, Scielo, Dialnet, Latindex, and Google Scholar were consulted; 22 studies addressing digital coloniality, border thinking, transmodernity, or political singularity were included, while those prior to 2006 and those with irrelevant themes were excluded. The results show that digital colonialism constitutes a precise analytical category revealing continuities between historical extractivism and data extractivism, while digital Taylorism produces docile subjectivities through algorithms that naturalize epistemic hierarchies. It is concluded that border thinking offers tools to resist these logics from peripheral contexts, although further empirical research is required, particularly in the Paraguayan case.
