Peer review policy

Propuestas Educativas accepts only articles that follow the specified thematic and formatting guidelines. Articles failing to meet these requirements will be immediately rejected. Each submitted article will undergo review by two external reviewers through a process known as “blind peer review.” This means that both authors and reviewers are unaware of each other's identities, ensuring impartiality. During this evaluation process, anonymity for both parties is maintained by removing any identifying information from the documents shared.

The possible outcomes of this evaluation are as follows:

  • Rejection of the article
  • Major revisions required (re-evaluable)
  • Minor revisions required (publishable with modifications)
  • Accepted

In case of a disagreement between reviewers, a third reviewer will be consulted to help determine whether the article should be published. The final decision will be made during a meeting of the Editorial Board, where individual reviewers' reports will be discussed, and a definitive decision will be reached.

If the article is approved with corrections, authors will be required to implement the suggested changes and resubmit the article. These revisions will be verified by a second review conducted by the original reviewers. If the corrections are not made within the established timeframe, the article will be scheduled for publication in a subsequent issue of the journal. The entire process, from the reception of the article to its acceptance, typically takes approximately six months.

Editorial Process

The editorial period encompasses the processes that an article must complete before publication in our journal.

To register, authors must access the following link. As part of the submission process, authors must ensure that their work meets the following criteria:

  • The submitted article is original and has not been previously published, complying with all citation norms.
  • The article has not been submitted to any other journals, and no additional explanations have been provided to the editor.
  • Upon approval, permission is granted for publication and distribution at both national and international levels in various media.
  • The submitted file is in Word format and maintains anonymity.
  • Authors submit their work using the OJS platform of the Journal of Educational Proposals.

If the submission meets the requirements, the editor will proceed with the editorial process. If not, authors will be asked to make corrections or the submission will be rejected. The editor will forward the work to specialized reviewers in the pertinent subject area or line of research, utilizing a double-blind peer review process to ensure mutual anonymity.

Based on the reviewers' reports, the editor will make one of the following decisions, which will be communicated to the author:
